Despite standing only approximately 9 cm tall, there is an extraordinary amount of detail: a glossy black suit, applied cream hair and beard, pink-toned face and hands, white bow tie and shirt front, and separate metal drumsticks terminating in tiny glass beaters.

These whimsical musician figures were produced in a variety of characters and instruments and make particularly appealing displays when assembled as an orchestra.

An excellent example of the playful yet technically accomplished figural glass for which mid-century Czechoslovakian glassmakers became internationally recognised.

Attribution Note:

The figurine is unmarked and retains no maker’s label.
