Mini Story
HMAS Diamantina (K377) was a River-class frigate commissioned in 1945. She served with distinction in the Pacific and later as a survey vessel charting Australia’s coastline before decommissioning in 1980. Today she is preserved at the Queensland Maritime Museum. This crest plaque, with its heavy cast badge and hand-painted details, reflects the style produced for crew and official exchanges during her service years. It offers a tangible link to one of the RAN’s most historically significant ships.
