Vintage HQ

At Vintage HQ, we specialise in genuine vintage, antique, and pre-loved items. These pieces are not new and may show signs of age, wear, or character that form part of their history and charm. We take care to describe all items honestly and accurately.

All Sales of Vintage & Used Goods

Unless otherwise stated, all items sold by Vintage HQ are second-hand or vintage. By purchasing from our store, you acknowledge that:

  • Items may show signs of wear consistent with age and use

  • Vintage items may not meet current manufacturing or safety standards

  • Natural imperfections are not considered faults

Returns Eligibility

We do not offer change-of-mind returns, including for reasons such as:

  • The item not being what you expected

  • Colour or tone variation

  • Minor wear consistent with age

  • You no longer want the item

Returns are accepted only if:

  • The item is significantly misdescribed

  • The item arrives damaged due to transit

  • The item is not the item shown or described

Condition Requirements for Returns

If a return is approved:

  • The item must be returned in the same condition as received

  • No repairs, cleaning, or alterations must have been attempted

  • All original packaging (if applicable) must be included

Returned items that show signs of use, alteration, or damage after delivery may not be eligible for a refund.

How to Request a Return

To request a return, please contact us within 7 days of delivery at:

  • Your order number

  • A brief description of the issue

  • Clear photos showing the problem

We will review your request and respond within a reasonable timeframe.

Refunds

If your return is approved:

  • Refunds will be processed to the original payment method

  • Original shipping costs are non-refundable, unless required by law

  • Return postage costs are the responsibility of the buyer unless the item is faulty or misdescribed

Refunds will be issued once the item has been received and inspected.

Sale Items

All sale or clearance items are final sale and are not eligible for return or refund unless required by law.

Vintage Electrical Items

Due to their age:

  • Vintage electrical items are sold as decorative pieces only

  • They have not been tested unless specified in the sales listing

  • We recommend inspection by a qualified electrician prior to use

No refunds will be issued for electrical functionality.

Australian Consumer Law

Nothing in this policy limits your rights under Australian Consumer Law.
You are entitled to a repair, replacement, or refund for a major failure and compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage.
