Mini Story or Hook

A collection spanning more than two decades of poetry by A. Alvarez (Alfred Alvarez), the influential British poet, critic and literary figure.

Autumn to Autumn and Selected Poems 1953–1976 brings together work from across Alvarez’s poetic career and was first published by Macmillan in 1978. Alvarez was an important figure in post-war British literary culture, particularly noted for his poetry criticism and his association with writers including Sylvia Plath and Ted Hughes.

This hardcover first edition retains its original distinctive brown and gilt-lettered dust jacket and makes an appealing addition to a collection of modern British poetry and literary criticism.
