Mini Story

A genuine Sheffield trade tool by JU James & Sons, a respected edge-tool maker whose knives were used daily by cobblers and leatherworkers. The distinctive swept blade profile is designed for controlled pull-cuts when paring and shaping leather. This example retains a clear maker’s stamp and an honest, well-aged finish — a practical working tool then, and a collectible survivor now.

Condition

Cleaned sympathetically to preserve original patina. The blade retains an even aged finish with a crisp, legible “JU James & Sons / Sheffield” stamp. No active rust. Handle is solid with expected age-related wear from use. Not over-polished or restored.

Postage & Handling

• Carefully packed to protect the blade and stamp

• Items are usually posted within 1–2 business days of cleared payment
