Mini Story
This unique little teapot captures the artistry and symbolism of early 20th century Chinese cloisonné. Crafted during the Republic period (circa 1920–40), it combines a playful monkey finial (a symbol of cleverness and good fortune) with powerful dragon motifs and delicate butterflies, representing love and transformation. The rich red enamel panels glow beautifully in the light, contrasting against the blue cloisonné band adorned with stylised dragons. These miniature teapots were produced as export or scholar’s objects, blending tradition with charm.
