Mini Story or Hook
Set in the turbulent years following the Crucifixion, The Thorn of Arimathea follows Roman officer Quintus and the traditions surrounding Joseph of Arimathea in a sweeping story spanning Rome, Jerusalem and ancient Britain.
Frank G. Slaughter was a physician-turned-novelist whose historical, medical and biblical novels achieved a wide international readership. This 1959 Jarrolds edition is particularly attractive for collectors as it retains its original illustrated dust jacket, including the original synopsis and author photograph.
Adding a little Australian history to the copy is an original Hall’s Book Store, Melbourne bookseller label inside the jacket.
