Mini Story or Hook
A wonderfully characterful gentleman’s valet stand combining traditional styling with practical bedroom storage.
Designed in the manner of an earlier gentleman’s dressing stand, it features a shaped timber shoulder hanger for a jacket, a trouser rail, two small drawers for watches, cufflinks, jewellery or other accessories, and lower rails suitable for shoes or additional garments.
Turned timber supports, carved foliate detailing and an intentionally distressed finish give the piece an appealing old-world, colonial-style appearance.
Importantly, we believe this is a later reproduction made in an earlier style rather than a genuine antique. The timber has been deliberately darkened and distressed, including areas that appear to have been scorched or burnt as part of the ageing treatment.
A great decorative piece for a bedroom, dressing room, walk-in robe, boutique or period-inspired interior.
