A striking example of Australian studio pottery, this tall hand-thrown stoneware vase is believed to be the work of Henry Hackenberg, based on its distinctive painted landscape, earthy palette and painted “H” monogram to the base.

Featuring stylised gum trees against a softly graduated blue sky with ochre and olive landscape, the vase beautifully captures the Australian landscape through the studio pottery movement of the 1970s and 1980s.

Whether displayed as a standalone statement piece or holding dried botanicals, it is equally suited to Mid-Century Modern, Scandinavian and contemporary interiors.
