A striking example of the classic “La Nuit” (The Night) allegorical figure, depicting a graceful young woman reaching skyward toward a star while balanced upon the outstretched wings of an eagle.

This evocative design captures the romanticism and symbolism of the Art Nouveau era, where figures often represented nature, the heavens and the passage of time.

This particular piece was discovered in England in November 2025 and was subsequently mounted on a substantial timber plinth, creating an impressive display piece with real presence. Standing approximately 37cm high, it makes a wonderful statement in a library, study, office or period-inspired interior.
