A super rare copy of the first edition of The Wharfbury Watch Dogs by K Wallis Coates. Published by Oxford University Press in 1930 this is a rare book with limited copies currently for sale on the internet.
There is no dust jacket and there is slight wear to the spine. Internally the pages are yellowing and spotted and the binding isn't as tight as it was originally but the book is intact. Pages are made from a heavier than usual paper stock.
Book has 96 pages.
Cover has an illustration of four scouts in the old Baden Powell Uniform with one scout climbing into a window.
Marketed as a Scouting Story so would also be attractive to collectors of Scouting memorabilia.
This book is fast approaching being 100 years old.
