Mini Story or Hook:

A wonderfully atmospheric Australian bush scene capturing a quiet moment beneath towering gum trees.

The composition centres on a lone bushman resting beside a glowing campfire, billy nearby, while in the misty distance the silhouette of a horse and rider travels through the trees. Soft blues and greys create an almost dreamlike bush atmosphere, contrasted beautifully by the warm oranges and yellows of the fire and sunlit earth.

Signed “CHER 1989” to the lower right, this is an evocative late-1980s original painting with all the character of traditional Australian bush art.

The artist has not been further identified, so the work is offered on the basis of the visible signature rather than an attributed artist.
