About:

This striking mid-century Belgian art pottery vase appears to capture the bold glaze of European lava works from the 60s to 70s. Done in a rich oxblood glaze, the colour cascades over a textured body, pooling beautifully around the sculptural twin handles. 

Pieces like this appear to have been produced for export during the height of Europe’s lava-glaze movement; produced in West Germany and across much of Europe and whether a part of the movement or not, it was designed to make a strong statement in any modern interior. 

This is a beautifully confident, decorative piece with a strong shelf presence that captures an essence of European beauty.
