Mini Story or Hook:
Capturing an athlete at the moment of maximum tension before releasing the discus, this striking vintage sculpture combines classical sporting imagery with plenty of character.
The figure is wonderfully expressive, from the concentrated facial features to the exaggerated movement of the body and outstretched arm. Mounted on a substantial green-grey veined marble or stone base, the dark patinated metal has developed attractive warmer bronze highlights across the raised areas.
A great display piece for a study, office or collection and particularly appealing to collectors of vintage sculpture, classical figures and sporting memorabilia.
Condition:
Condition: Good vintage condition – see detailed notes below.

No obvious major damage noted from inspection.
Exact metal composition, maker and age have not been confirmed, and the piece is accordingly described conservatively.
