Mini Story or Hook

A wonderfully characterful vintage walking stick featuring a carved and hand-painted duck or mallard head handle.

The duck is particularly appealing, with rich green and black plumage, an ochre-toned bill and inset eyes surrounded by gold-tone fittings. The long black-painted wooden shaft gives the piece a traditional sporting-country appearance reminiscent of vintage shooting, hunting and country walking accessories.

At approximately 95 cm long, it is an impressive decorative piece with plenty of vintage character — equally suited to a walking stick collection, country-style interior, gentleman’s study or display alongside sporting memorabilia.
