Mini Story or Hook

A charming vintage watercolour capturing the quiet character of country life, with a weathered cottage or farmhouse, white picket fence and loosely rendered garden surrounded by mature trees.

The artist has used a particularly attractive, free watercolour technique, allowing areas of the paper to remain exposed while building the landscape through soft washes of green, grey, ochre and warm autumnal tones. Small details, including the figure near the cottage, give the scene a wonderful sense of scale and everyday rural life.

Presented behind glass in a gold-tone frame with a generous white mount, it is an appealing decorative piece for a country, cottage, traditional or vintage-inspired interior.
