This beautifully tactile studio pottery set captures everything collectors love about late-20th-century handmade ceramics: rich, earthy glazes, confident throwing, and expressive, unrepeatable surface movement. The deep tenmoku brown base is dramatically broken by soft green drips that fall organically down each vessel, creating a painterly, almost moss-like effect.
Signed “The Loft” (although we are not certain that is what it says) to the base, these pieces speak to the era when individual studio potters proudly marked their work with personal monikers rather than factory stamps, adding some mystery to its organic beauty. The inclusion of a demitasse spoon with clear signs of wear and use adds to the set's beauty.
