A wonderfully nostalgic vintage skating set combining Australian-made T. Altamura leather boots with quality English MK Ice Time blades.
The bright blue vinyl carry bag is a standout feature, with its classic triangular profile, white piping and bold “SKATING” lettering. Together, the skates and bag make an appealing display piece for a collector of vintage sporting equipment, skating memorabilia or retro Australian design.
Condition
The skates are in used vintage condition with age-related scuffs, creasing, marks and wear to the leather. The blades show scratches, minor surface oxidation and evidence of previous use.
The blue vinyl bag has been carefully cleaned and presents attractively. It retains strong colour and gloss, with some remaining marks, light cloudy oxidation, surface wear and tarnishing to the metal fittings consistent with age.
The size marking on the sole is faint and appears to be either a 6 or 9. The boot measures approximately 24 cm long; however, buyers should rely on the supplied measurements rather than the indistinct size marking.
The skates have not been professionally assessed, sharpened or tested for present-day skating use.
