Mini Story
This small flared-rim vase is a genuine piece of mid-century West German “fat lava” pottery. The number “235/12” denotes the model and height in centimetres. The flowing cream and brown glaze with a flash of red is typical of the era’s experimental drip-glazes exported worldwide. These tactile little vases were popular in 1960s homes and remain collectible today.

Condition
Very good vintage condition overall. Two tiny glaze nicks/flea bites on the foot rim (see last photo). No cracks or repairs. Minor age-related crazing typical of West German pottery. Please see all photos for full description.
