An early example of Australian souvenir china by Westminster China, featuring a detailed scenic illustration of Parliament House, Canberra (the former parliamentary building used from 1927 to 1988).

This piece bears the Abbey backstamp, a mark used by Westminster only up until the early 1960s, and is further distinguished by its low pattern number (24) — both strong indicators of early production. Pieces from this period pre-date the later mass-produced tourist wares and are increasingly sought after by collectors of Australian ceramics and political memorabilia.
